The Giants Season Has Come to an End

So I know I have been an awful blogger these past few months but come on the Giants haven’t exactly had an inspiring season. Now don’t get me wrong I still love them I just haven’t had much to say about them. I know I know, how can that be when all the Barry Bonds hoopla was going on this season? Well, I don’t really like to talk about Barry that much. I think he gets talked about enough. I 100_0847_11 like the Giants as a whole, it’s not all about one player for me. So I guess I should get this out of the way now and say: Bye, Bye, Barry! It’s been great, thanks for all the great memories and I wish you all the best. And also I hope you get your World Series ring, I’m just sad that it couldn’t be in San Francisco.

So now that that is out of the way all there really is to do is look forward to next season and what it may bring. I know that these next few seasons are going to be building years for the Giants and that it is only going to start getting better. We have awesome starting pitching and some really promising young players. The Giants future is bright and I am looking forward to watching it. So I am going to leave you today with one of my favorite baseball quotes. Former commissioner Bart Giamatti said it and I think it is a perfect description of baseball. So enjoy the post season. Go Rockies!

“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
