Number 748…what else is there to say?

Just wanted to wish all you dad’s out there a Happy Father’s Day.  Me and my dad are just getting ready to sit down and spend some quality time watching the Giants/Sox game.  So once again I hope all you dads have a great day! Go Giants!

Matt Morris pitched his third complete game of the season tonight and earned his seventh win.  He also put a halt to the Giants three game losing streak further adding to his reputation as the Giants “stopper”, six out of his seven wins have come after a loss the game before.  After a not so stellar first inning, allowing three runs on three hits, Morris buckled down allowing only four more hits and no runs leading to a 4-3 Giants victory.   Coming into tonight’s game the Giants hadn’t scored a run since Friday night which translates into 21 scoreless innings, so tonight’s win was pretty sweet.  Bonds also ended his homerless streak at twelve games, blasting a two run homer over the centerfield wall in the fourth inning, making him only eight short of tying Aaron.  Tonight’s win was exactly what the doctor ordered.  Offense just needs to do what it did tonight every night instead of every five games or so.  Well, until tomorrow.
